Have Fun
The game of numbers is a great way to begin and end a night in a single game. The game needs a decent sized group of participants, at least five, a deck of cards, and beer.
The starting player declares a suit. A dealer flips a card face up in front of that player, then to the player to the left, and so on until a card of the declared suit appears. Whichever player this card lands on must now drink the face value of the card. Jack’s are worth 11, Q’s are 12, K’s 13 and Aces 14.
The caveat, however, it that the player does not count for themselves. Instead the person to drinkers left says “one”, then the next person says “two”, and so forth, until the designated number is reached. Players may wait as long as they please to count (the drinker doe not count during his own turn-he or she is drinking!)
After the count is finished, the drinker must declare the next suit before they return their beer to the table, or else they must repeat the previous drink.
If any player at any time outside of their designated counting says the word “number”, or any number, and are caught, the most recent card is then placed in front of them, and they must drink accordingly.
If a drinking player finishes his or her beer before the other players can count to the card value, and slams his or her empty to the table, whoever should have been the next person to count receives the card, and must drink accordingly. This provides incentive to count quickly. This also provides incentive to drink quickly.
Any player to join late is immediately given the most recent card, and must drink.
Dealing always progresses to the left from the most recent card drank.
